Lawyer expert in international commercial law, trust law and national and international dispute resolution mechanisms.
 
In the past, Victor Manuel has served as director of the civil and commercial conciliation center of the Procuraduría General de la Nación. He was an associate of a Colombian law firm; lawyer of the Legal Vice-Presidency and legal director of Special Businesses of Foreign Trade for Fiduciary companies in Colombia; and advisor and negotiator of the Coordination of Treaties of the Directorate of International Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
He collaborated with the legal structuring of Colombia's participation in the Universal Exhibitions, a task entrusted to the Procolombia Trust. Also, in his capacity as advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was appointed as expert delegate to Groups II and III of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) on arbitration and online settlement of e-commerce disputes, respectively.

He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Central and has participated as a lecturer in several events on international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
 
In addition, he is currently president of the Colombian Academy of International Law and a member of the boards of directors of the Association of Franco-Colombian Jurists and of the Lawyers Chapter of the Association of Graduates of the Universidad de los Andes - Uniandinos.

Victor is a List B arbitrator of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
