Lawyer specialized in international dispute resolution in France and Latin America. She has assisted clients in litigation related to major international commercial and investment projects in the Dominican Republic, Panama, Ecuador, Bolivia and other countries in the region.
Her practice covers international commercial and investment arbitration (ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, ad hoc), as well as cross-border litigation, including enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Latin America and Europe.
She is on the list of arbitrators approved by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo.
She is a member of the French-Dominican Chamber of Commerce (CCIFD), the French Arbitration Committee (CFA), the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA), the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Instituto Brasileiro de Direito do Construçao (IBDic).
She is the founder and coordinator of the Dominican-French Colloquium on International Arbitration, an international event held in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with the participation of highly qualified academic and professional speakers. Four editions of the event have been held to date, in 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2022.
Representative experience
- Representation of a Panamanian company in an ICC arbitration with the seat in Paris against a Latin American state and a state-owned entity in connection with a contract for the construction and operation of a power plant. Amount in dispute in excess of USD 80 million.
- Representation of a consortium of French and Panamanian companies in an ICC arbitration with the seat of arbitration in Madrid against the municipality of a Latin American State and a state-owned entity in connection with a large urban mobility infrastructure project.
- Representing a Latin American company in a Spanish-based commercial arbitration against Spanish, Luxembourg and French companies in connection with an investment project in the telecommunications sector in Brazil.
- Representing the investor in an ICSID arbitration against the Co-operative Republic of Guyana concerning the annulment of a car parking concession contract (Smart City Solutions Holdings Inc. v. Co-operative Republic of Guyana, ICSID Case No. ARB/21/64).
