Lawyer specialized in International Business and International Disputes Resolution in France and the Dominican Republic. She has assisted clients in major international commercial and investment projects involving the Dominican Republic and other Latin American countries. Among these are: infrastructure projects for means of transport, representation of airline companies and representation in international litigation of companies in the telecommunications and energy sector.

Her practice also covers international arbitration (ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, ad hoc), as well as cross-border litigation, including enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Latin America and Europe.

She is on the list of arbitrators approved by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo. He is also a member of the French-Dominican Chamber of Commerce (CCIFD), the French Arbitration Committee (CFA) and the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA).

Taveras-Urzhumova is the founder and coordinator of the Dominican-French Colloquium on International Arbitration, an international event that is held in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, every 2 years with the participation of exhibitors of high academic and professional capacity from France and the Dominican Republic. To date, 3 editions of the event have been held:
